Donna-Fay Digance is a contemporary art quilter.
She received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. She’s taken further art courses at Goldsmith’s College, University of London, Maiwa Handprints, and Emily Carr College of Art. Professional organizations to which she belongs are: The Surface Design Association, Studio Art Quilts Association, Southern Gulf Islands Art Council, and Art Saturna.
Her preferred medium is painted and dyed silk. She uses the sewing machine as a drawing tool to create line and texture with thread. Recent themes are influenced by her natural surroundings filtered into dreamscapes.
Her largest commission to date is a three panel quilted triptych for Parks Canada.
